1. Getting started

1.1. Installation

The installation file and the required license can be obtained from your TOPOFLIGHT supplier.

Installing TOPOFLIGHT NAVIGATOR:

1. Run the setup file provided by your TOPOFLIGHT supplier and follow the instructions in the setup wizard.

2. Insert the NAVIGATOR license USB dongle into a USB port or activate your software license.

3. Run NAVIGATOR.

   

1.2. Licensing

1.2.1. Information about the current license

NAVIGATOR software is protected by a software key from Thales Sentinel. This key is supplied by your software provider. A free 10-day demo license can be obtained from TOPOFLIGHT company.

Checking the current license:

1. Select the licensing tab in the main menu.

2. The license information then is shown:

Display the license information in the web interface:

1. Start your web browser.

2. Type in the following address: localhost:1947

3. Select the Sentinel Keys tab to show the license information:

1.3. Project selection

When the NAVIGATOR is started, a dialog box like this is displayed:

You can return to this menu at any time by clicking on the navigation menu on the top left and choosing the entry Project.

Configuring the project list:

1. Before you start working on a project with NAVIGATOR use Add Project to add the project to the list.

2. Select the project you want to work on in the list and click Open project to open it in the main NAVIGATOR window.

3. Remove projects which are not needed anymore from the project list using the Remove from list button.

4. Quit NAVIGATOR by clicking on Exit TF Navi.

A project-specific statistic appears next to the project name. It provides information on how much of the project has been completed. The following values can be selected from the drop-down list on the top right of the window:

• number of images that have been taken

• number of lines that have been flown completely

• percentage of images that have been taken

• percentage of lines that have been flown completely

Hint

If images were captured with warnings (e.g. blurred images), they will be marked orange in the statistics.

A report can be generated by clicking the corresponding button on the right side of the window:

• report without simulations - displays all flight lines that have been flown in the selected project.

• report including simulations - displays all flight lines that have been flown in the selected project, including the lines flown in simulation mode.
