1. Getting started

1.1. Installation

The installation file and the required license can be obtained from your TOPOFLIGHT supplier.

Installing TOPOFLIGHT NAVIGATOR:

1. Run the setup file provided by your TOPOFLIGHT supplier and follow the instructions in the setup wizard.

2. Insert the NAVIGATOR license USB dongle into a USB port or activate your software license.

3. Run NAVIGATOR.

   

1.2. Licensing

1.2.1. Information about the current license

NAVIGATOR software is protected by a software key from Thales Sentinel. This key is supplied by your software provider. A free 10-day demo license can be obtained from TOPOFLIGHT company. How to check the current license: Select the licensing tab in the main menu. The license information then is shown.

The license information is also visible in the web interface.

Start your web browser and type in the following address: localhost:1947.

The information appears by selecting the Sentinel Keys tab:

1.2.2. Transferring the license from one machine to the other

Moving the license from machine A (source) to machine B (destination):

1. Download the tool RUS_EEZKK.exe from TopoFlight web page.

2. Start RUS_EEZKK on the destination machine

   • Select the tab transfer license.

   • Select the file to store the destination machine’s information.

   • Click Collect and Save Information.

   

3. Start RUS_EEZKK on the source machine

   • Select the file with the information of the destination machine.

   • Generate the transfer file.

   • Click Generate license Transfer File.

   

4. Start RUS_EEZKK on the destination machine

   • Select and apply the file from the source machine.

1.3. Project selection

This dialog is shown when the program is started:

You can return to this menu at any time by clicking on the navigation menu on the top left and choosing the entry “Project”.

Selecting a project:

1. Use Add Project to add your projects to be flown to the list of projects before you start working with NAVIGATOR.

2. Select the project you want to navigate in the list and click Open project to open it in the main NAVIGATOR window.

3. Remove projects which are not needed anymore from the project list using the Remove from list button.

4. Quit NAVIGATOR by clicking on Exit TF Navi.

A statistic is displayed for each project. It provides information on how much of the project has been completed. The following values can be selected from the drop-down list on the top right of the window:

• number of images that have been taken

• number of lines that have been flown completely

• percentage of images that have been taken

• percentage of lines that have been flown completely

• if images have been taken with warnings (for example blurred images) these will be shown in orange color.

A report can be generated by clicking on the appropriate button:

• Report without simulations shows all lines which have been flown in the selected project.

• Report including simulations shows all lines which have been flown in the selected project and includes also the lines flown in simulation mode.
