7. Troubleshooting#

7.1. Checklist#

In the event of a licensing error, first review the following points:

Have you installed the software (MISSIONPLANNER or NAVIGATOR)?
Do you get an error message when the software starts?
- Sentinel key not found: No TOPOFLIGHT license was found on the machine.
  → Locate the license key
- Feature not found: License does not contain the product that was installed.
  → Update the license key
- HASP_TMOF: There are too many active sessions.
  → Sneak over to your coworker’s computer and log out of his or her TOPOFLIGHT session 😉
- Version is not allowed to run with the current license: The maintenance has expired (maintenance end date is older than release date of the installed software).
  → Contact your vendor to update the maintenance
Do you have a licensing issue?
→ Open the Sentinel Admin Control Center
- Is the machine unable to locate the Sentinel Admin Control Center?
  → Ensure that the vendor library has been properly installed
- Is a key with vendor id 83060 (Vendor: TopoFlight) available?
  → Locate the license key
- In the Features section, are the features MISSIONPLANNER and/or NAVIGATOR available?
  → Is the correct Key ID listed?
  → In Location, check if the license has been detached to a different machine.
- Does your license require an update?

7.2. Finding the license key#

What to do when the machine does not recognize the license:

Check for a license on localhost:

Open the license management tool on the local machine and verify whether a valid license is present.
If no licenses are listed:
- HL local:
  
  Is the dongle connected to the local machine on which you want to run a TOPOFLIGHT product?
- HL server:
  
  Is the license server in the same network as the local machine running a TOPOFLIGHT product?
  
  → Verify that you have a connection to the company license server.
  
  → Locate the license file on the sever.
- SL local:
  
  Is the software license installed on the local machine?
  
  → Make sure you have correctly applied the V2C file you received.
- SL server:
  
  Is the license server in the same network as the local machine running a TOPOFLIGHT product?
  
  → Verify that you have a connection to the company license server.
  
  → Locate the license file on the sever.
