Import options ============== You can import a variety of data into |Software name|, such as external flight lines, image data from a flight and FAA Charts. It is also possible to :ref:`import projects created with the MISSIONPLANNER legacy software version ` . .. topic:: General guide for importing files: * Select |project| **Project** in the *Navigation bar*. Use the **IMPORT** section of the secondary sidebar and select the desired file. OR * simply drag-and-drop the file directly into your :ref:`Workspace `. A variety of file formats are fully supported. .. important:: First, you need to :doc:`define your sensor(s) <./ConfiguringSensors>`! Importing images ---------------- You can import image data from a flight into |Software name|. For each image, the data includes its number and position coordinates. The raw GPS coordinates can then be used to check the planned vs actual image center positions. Another use for imported image data is to check the entire geometry of the actual flight using the measured GPS coordinates of the image positions. To perform post flight QC, copy the flight plan directory from the flight computer to the computer where you will perform QC. The flight plan directory stores, during flight, data for use in this process. Importing FAA Charts -------------------- .. topic:: Download and import FAA Charts: #. Go to `FAA `_. #. Download the GEO-TIFF file for the required region. #. Drag-and-drop the files into the workspace. .. _import-legacy-projects: Importing |Software name| legacy projects ----------------------------------------- .. topic:: Importing *\*.ttkgp* files: #. In the navigation bar, click |start| **Start**. #. Click |open|. #. A dialog box opens. Select the file format *\*.ttkgp* on the bottom right. #. Go to the folder in which your legacy project is stored and select it. #. The migration wizard now opens in a new window. In the first line, click the ellipses to choose the destination folder for the migrated project. #. Select the terrain layer. #. Select the sensor type, brand, model and configuration. #. Finally, click on **Migrate project**. .. hint:: Some layers might not be referenced. Before the project is opened, you will be prompted to select an appropriate coordinate system from a drop-down menu for them.
