Finding the license server
--------------------------

In some scenarios it may be necessary to specify the address of the license server. This is often required in large company networks. 

#. Find the IP address or the host name of the license server.
#. Set the address or the host name on the local machine: http://localhost:1947/_int_/config_to.html
#. In addition, make sure that no Firewall blocks port 1947

Sentinel RTE (Run Time Environment)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

* The Sentinel RTE helps finding your |Company name| license. The RTE needs to be installed on every machine on which a |Company name| product is installed.
* Download and unpack the `RTE <https://www.topoflight.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/haspdinst_83060.zip>`_
* Install it with command prompt: ``haspdinst_83060.exe -i``


Sentinel HASP RUS (Remote Update System) 
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

* Download `Sentinel HASP RUS <https://www.topoflight.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/RUS_EEZKK.zip>`_ to collect your licensing information and to apply license updates to your |Company name| installation.


C2V Files
---------------

A .C2V (*Customer-to-Vendor*) file contains information about the current state of a license container (dongle or software license) and typically does not include the license update itself.

Creating a C2V file
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Sometimes a fingerprint file (C2V file) of the machine where the license is (will be) installed is needed:

   #. Download `Sentinel HASP RUS <https://www.topoflight.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/RUS_EEZKK.zip>`_ .
   #. Start *RUS_EEZKK.exe* .
   #. Click the **Collect status information** tab.
   #. Initial license installation (no prior license on this machine): |br|
      → select *Installation of new protection key*
   #. License update: |br|
      → select *Update of existing protection key* 
   #. Click **Collect information**.
   #. Store the C2V file and send it to us or upload it to the customer portal.


Applying a C2V file
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

   #. Select the V2C file.
