Installing a license
====================

New license
-----------

When purchasing a new license, you will get a message with a product key.

.. topic:: Installing a new license:

    #. Go to our `customer login <https://license.topoflight.com:8188/ems/customerLogin.html?siteLanguage=en>`_ and enter the product key.
    #. Enter your contact details (not always needed).
    #. Select **Offline activation**.
    #. Generate C2V file (fingerprint) on the machine where you intend to install the license: 

       * Download and execute the `Sentinel HASP RUS <https://www.topoflight.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/RUS_EEZKK.zip>`_ .
       * Click **collect information**.

    #. Activate the license:

       * Upload the generated \*.C2V file .
       * Click **Generate** and download the \*.V2C file.
       * Apply the \*.V2C file either through the RUS tool or the `localhost <http://localhost:1947/_int_/checkin.html>`_.

    #. Validate the license activation:

       * Go to `Sentinel Admin Control Center <http://localhost:1947/_int_/devices.html>`_.
       * Confirm that the Key ID (same number as \*.V2C file) is included in the list.
       * You can inspect more details on the products and features of this key by clicking on the corresponding buttons in the column *Actions*.


License update
--------------

You will receive a \*.V2C file containing the updated license.

    #. Use the machine on which the license was installed.
    #. Navigate to `localhost <http://localhost:1947/_int_/checkin.html>`_.
    #. In the navigation bar on the left select *Update/Attach*.
    #. Select the new \*.V2C file with the updated license and click on **Apply File**.


Trial license
--------------

    #. Use the machine on which the TOPOFLIGHT software is installed.
    #. Navigate to `localhost <http://localhost:1947/_int_/checkin.html>`_.
    #. In the navigation bar on the left select *Update/Attach*.
    #. Select the \*.V2C file with the trial license and click on **Apply File**.
